About Me

About The Artist

Since I was a child, I have felt a deep connection to trees, sensing their energy and life, which always brought me closer to their creator. While I have always appreciated everything about trees above the ground, I have often wondered about the unseen world beneath the surface where their life and foundation begin.
Over the years, I have collected roots from fallen trees during my hikes in the wilderness. I have always had a passion for unique, one-of-a-kind sculptures, nearly as much as my love for wood itself. Then one day, it hit me, why not create unique “Roots of Arts” pieces that allow people to experience a part of the tree they have never seen before?
Each piece goes through a long and detailed process. It begins with me searching for the perfect piece of wood, which can take anywhere from hours to months. Once I bring the roots back to my shop, I carefully study each piece to understand its natural shape, character and energy. Then, I start working—cutting, trimming, sanding, and drying the wood. After that…I prime, sand, and hand-paint (brush only) each piece using acrylic paints that I’ve personally altered, making every artwork truly unique.

What I love most about these sculptures is that no two people see them the same way. If ten people look at a piece, each will see something different. And as you walk around it, the perspective shifts, revealing new details from every angle. Even though I have named each piece as I see it, feel free to call it whatever appeals to you.
